Dr. Ravi Bajaj, MD FRCPC

Dr. Bajaj is a Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at North York General Hospital. He earned his Medical Degree at the University of Toronto where he also completed his internal medicine and adult cardiology training. He was appointed Chief Cardiology Resident at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He then completed specialized training in Electrophysiology (electrical disorders of the heart) at Sunnybrook. His special clinical and research interest is cardiac implantable electronic devices. He surgically implants pacemakers, defibrillators (ICD), re-synchronization leads (CRT), and loop monitors (ILR). He serves as the director of the Cardiac Device Clinic at North York General Hospital and co-director of the Arrhythmia Program. He is also appointed as a clinical teacher at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine and holds a teaching appointment at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Dr. Kareem Morant, MD FRCPC

Dr. Morant grew up in nearby Mississauga, ON. He is a medical school graduate of the University of Ottawa. After medical school he went on to complete Internal Medicine residency in London, Ontario at Western University where he was Chief Medical Resident, an honor given to a top resident whom is admired by his peers and Attending Staff physicians. He returned close to home at The University of Toronto to complete his Cardiology Fellowship, where he trained at the major academic hospitals in Toronto. In 2016, he completed his Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship at the renowned Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota. It was during his time there that he developed a keen interest in valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy (diseases of heart muscle)/Heart Failure, and quality improvement in Echocardiography.
Currently, he is a Staff Consultant physician at North York General Hospital in Toronto where he is the Director of the Heart Function Clinic and working to establish a dedicated Amyloid clinic. He has a particular interest in hereditary ATTR cardiomyopathy in the Canadian Black population. Outside of medicine, he has a variety of interests including basketball, exercising, and bike riding but what he loves most, is spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Dr. Yin Ge, MD FRCPC

Dr. Ge is a non-invasive cardiologist at Cardiac Care North York and St Michael’s Hospital. He is also assistant professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. He obtained his medical degree from McGill University, which was followed by internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed cardiology training at the University of Toronto and returned to Boston for a fellowship in multimodality cardiovascular imaging at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His clinical and research interests lie in advanced imaging, including nuclear cardiology and cardiac CT/MRI.

Dr. Michael Hammer, MD FRCPC

Dr. Michael Hammer is a Cardiologist who has completed training in advanced echocardiography. He attended medical school at the University of Toronto. He then went on to complete his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the University of Toronto. He completed a fellowship in Echocardiography at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center. His areas of interest include heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr. Vincent Siu, MB BCh BAO FRCPC

Dr. Vincent Siu is a Cardiologist and Interventional Cardiologist at North York General Hospital, where he is also the director of the STEMI program. He has a special interest in Complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Chronic Total Occlusions. After completing his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Dublin, Ireland, he then returned home for his internal medicine residency and cardiology residency through the University of Toronto. In his final year of cardiology training, he was appointed Chief Cardiology resident at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He then went on to complete his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre. Most recently he completed his training as the inaugural fellow in the Chronic Total Occlusion Complex PCI Fellowship at the University of Toronto. He continues to practice his coronary angiography and angioplasty at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre where he continues to hold a teaching appointment.
